About Dr. Zhu
A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Dr. Zhu comes with over a decade of experience providing patient-focused dentistry. She graduated in the top 10% of her class and further refined her skills during a rigorous residency at New York – Presbyterian, Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she further trained in all aspects of dentistry.
To Dr. Zhu, dentistry extends far beyond clinical procedures—it is fundamentally about fostering genuine relationships with her patients. “What makes this profession fulfilling for me,” she says, “is being able to connect with my patients and help improve their oral health. I treat every patient like family.”
For Dr. Zhu, understanding a patient’s history and ensuring their comfort is just as vital as the care she provides. A woman in her 50s, struggling with dental phobia and after seeking care from other dentists, sought Dr. Zhu’s help before her daughter’s medical school graduation. Despite past dental trauma and hesitation, the patient felt at ease during their first visit. With trust, empathy, and support from her husband, Dr. Zhu helped her achieve a beautiful smile through veneers and crowns—transforming not just her appearance, but her confidence as well.
Dr. Zhu resides in Pennington with her husband—her high school sweetheart—and their energetic four-and-a-half-year-old daughter. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending quality time with her family.
